Annakiah Christensen
I was diagnosed on July 3, 2000 at five years old. There has been some highs and lows (pun intended) through the years, but I’ve gotten to do everything I wanted to do, despite having diabetes. Gotten married, traveled, made friends all over, and become a mom to two beautiful girls. Diabetes has helped me be a more patient and compassionate person, and given me a strength I wouldn’t have any other way.
