When I was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 13. I never imagined I would make it to 50 years living with diabetes. Here I am 50 years later living a happy, healthy life! Diabetes care has improved so much since the 1970s. I am very thankful for my insulin pump and cgm. I am also thankful for the immense support of family, friends, and doctors. Most importantly I appreciate my husband of 37 years who has traveled a big part of this journey with me cheering me on every day!
