10 Years of Bravery: Harmony’s Journey with Type 1 Diabetes
At just six years old, my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes—a moment that turned our lives upside down, but also revealed the strength, courage, and resilience that define who she is.
From managing blood sugar checks, insulin doses, and pump changes, to pushing through school days, sports, and hospital visits, she has faced every challenge with quiet grace and determination beyond her years.
Now, a decade later, she is not only surviving—she’s thriving. She’s smart, funny, strong-willed, and deeply compassionate, especially toward others living with invisible struggles.
This 10-year diaversary isn’t just a marker of time; it’s a celebration of every high and low she’s faced, every lesson learned, and every day she chose to keep going. I couldn’t be more proud of the young woman she’s becoming.
