Living with type 1 diabetes for 23 years has presented continuous challenges in my quest for normalcy. Despite grappling with this chronic condition since age 12, I’ve achieved significant milestones: early high school graduation, completion of a psychology bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, and extensive global exploration. I refuse to allow this medical reality to impede my aspirations or lifetime achievements. My fiercely autonomous nature drives me to cultivate a wholesome existence while navigating the complexities of type 1 diabetes.
