CustomTypeOne was founded by Jon Fawcett after his daughter was diagnosed with type 1 at the age of 12. He dove head first into the DIY community and wrote the Loop Follow app as well as customized Loop patches used by thousands of DIY Loopers. These were developed because of his own daughter’s needs and then offered to the community as a way to make living with type 1 easier. After years of being actively involved in the DIY community, CustomTypeOne was founded with the goal of bringing some of the DIY benefits to everyone.
As his daughter grew older and was sleeping through her alerts, he recognized the need for an alert system that would wake a sleepy teenager from the deepest sleep especially knowing that she would soon be an independent adult. With that SugarPixel was created as a secondary alert system with randomized audio and vibration alerts to minimize alert fatigue. Its ability to wake the deepest of sleepers makes living with diabetes easier and safer. Due to its alerts, unique customization, and the ability to easily track up to two users from anywhere in the world, Sugar Pixel has quickly gained popularity and is now one of the top alert systems recommended to type ones. For more information, check out Sugar Pixel at CustomTypeOne.com.
