Thanksgiving is celebrated this Thursday in the United States. Soon, tables will be set with a Thanksgiving feast and families and friends will gather together.  (And make sure you pre-bolus!  Sorry … diabetes will also be joining us at the table; always smart to plan ahead.)

We checked in with our CWD community to see what they’re thankful for this year:

“Thankful for so many things, but this year, I’m especially thankful for diabetes advances/technology.”

“I am thankful for you. Your website helped me through my son’s diagnosis 20 years ago and is now helping my son, his wife and my husband and I through my 6 year old grandson’s diagnosis.”

“Thankful to be alive!”

“Insulin.”

“Thankful for nutrition training that helps us to empower people living with diabetes to fuel their lives—wherever those lives lead them!”

“I’m thankful to still have my children here with me.”

“Thankful for my family, my friends, and access to insulin.”

“For Dexcom G6!”

“Our amazing medical team at sick kids who answers all my questions, no matter how crazy.”

“I am thankful for this wonderful community I’ve become a part of and I hope to give back more than I receive.”

“My family, my dog, my friends, my job working in diabetes research, coffee, chocolate, insulin that helps my blood sugars stay in range with them, CGM!!, the diabetes community, so many things!”

“My good health despite living with T1D.”

“Thankful for my family and all being under one roof and all the technology that helps me manage my daughter’s diabetes.”

Our Children with Diabetes team is thankful for YOU.  You are our community, our peers, our Fiffles, and we could not be more grateful for your friendship and support.  Thank you for everything you do!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
