My daughter, aged 18 (diagnosed at age 5), is currently playing college soccer. No amount of training seems to keep her from hitting the “wall” after about 20 to 25 minutes. Even when glucose levels are normal she seems to run out of gas. Is this normal?

My 14 1/2 year old daughter has had diabetes for almost six years. She does fine until she has had a few days of frequent exercise, then she tests her blood sugar before bed, thinks everything is okay, but she has a seizure between 2 am and 5 am. I am concerned about this.

My son is ranked third in the US in fencing, and during the summer, he fences 1.5 to 6 hours per day. On lighter fencing days, he has also been doing Bikram Yoga. We had reduced his Humalog to zero and put meals right before exercise to avoid lows. Can we do the same with NovoLog?
