I am a third grade teacher who with a student whose mother says he has hypoglycemia. He does not always have the best behavior. His mother told me that since he has hypoglycemia, I cannot expect him to remember what he is supposed to be doing or remember to do his homework. I asked her to give me a doctor’s note, and she declined. Please help me understand if this is appropriate behavior for a hypoglycemic child, so I can make adjustments.
