I started using Humalog a year ago with good results but find that if I take enough to cover a meal, I can’t eat fast enough to avoid hypoglycemia. I’ve been taking a mix of Humalog and Regular and have had good results. My son currently takes Mixtard insulin before breakfast, NovoRapid before his evening meal and Insulatard at bedtime. Using three different insulins means we live in fear of injecting the wrong one by mistake which indeed did happen. Could I change the morning Mixtard to a mixture of NovoRapid and Insulatard in a syringe?
