Are there cases of type 1 diabetes being triggered by extended exposure to extreme heat, 100 to 150 degrees F?

Answer:

I suppose extreme heat could lead to volume depletion. Those individuals already with higher sugars could have even higher sugars, making them symptomatic and likely to be diagnosed. I would say that heat alone, without a predisposition, is unlikely.
