Blood Tests and Insulin Injections

advertisement
Question from San Jose, California, USA:

Besides jet injectors are there any other non-needle forms of insulin delivery (e.g., patch, nasal, oral) available anywhere in the world? If not, how soon could one of these become available?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

You may be able to acquire alternative methods of insulin therapy through a controlled clinical trial. These studies are currently testing such products as inhaled insulin and buccal insulin. However, the agents such as inhaled insulin are only available through the clinical trial and not for routine dispensing.
