Blood Tests and Insulin Injections

advertisement
Question from Burlington, Ontario, Canada:

Can a massage therapist help with soreness and thickening of the skin at injection sites?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

Never happened to my experience. In our clinic, the only thing that helps in such cases is to avoid those areas for a while and keep rotating sites of insulin administration. Sometimes, insulin given by deep intramuscular injection into the center of the thickened areas may ameliorate the situation that often clear spontaneously over the years.
