Question from Houston, Texas, USA:

My husband has type 2 diabetes, which he controls with oral medication. He watches his diet somewhat. He doesn’t exercise. Can blood sugar levels affect clear, reasonable thinking?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

If his blood sugar were poorly controlled and going up and down all the time, it could certainly have an effect on his mood and concentration. You should talk to his health care provider about your concerns; your husband might need some help.
