Question from Exeter, California, USA:

Do women with type 1 diabetes have a harder time conceiving?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

Women with diabetes do not necessarily have a more difficult time conceiving, assuming that they have otherwise normal hormonal function. If a woman is having regular periods, then most likely she is ovulating and, thus, can conceive. Issues of infertility can occur in women with diabetes just as in those without diabetes.
