Last month, my six year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She is currently in the honeymoon period and her blood sugar levels have been consistently within her normal range. Her endocrinologist gave us an opportunity to have her put into a blind research study. The study will be testing the effect of pioglitazone on patients in the honeymoon period.
