Question from America On-Line:

Do you have any recent data on the Diasensor, the sensor system that would potentially do away with finger sticks? Has it been FDA approved? Where is it in the process?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

The Biocontrol Diasensor 1000 has not been approved for sale in the United States by the FDA.

Their web page includes the following statement: “Individual test results from the Diasensor are not intended to be used by patients to make daily adjustments to their insulin therapy, and the Diasensor should not be used to detect or monitor for hypoglycemia.” See http://www.bico.com/d1000pg.htm for more information.
