Ventolin, or albuterol, is a drug used for asthma and opens the airways(bronchodilator). If you have asthma, it can be important for breathing.
It is in the same class as adrenalin (epinephrine), which causes your heart to beat fast and raises glucose. It’s a simple drug action, and it does raise glucose.
