Question from :

How do you take care of a newborn with diabetes?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

You care for a newborn with diabetes in the same manner as taking care of young toddlers with diabetes. Aiming for a blood sugar of 100-200 mg/dl [5.5-11.1 mmol/L] and avoiding lows is important. The care is so much more complex than a simple e-mail can address.

You may wish to address this question to your physician for a more detailed answer.
