Question from Alberta, Canada:

I babysit for a two year old who drinks fluids by the gallon if you would let her, and her stool is almost like gravel (very crumbly and hard). Her mother won’t go get her checked, and I can’t take her to the doctor since she’s not my child. Are these early signs of diabetes?

Answer:
