I have a 15 year old that was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes about 3 months ago. He is on Humalog and Lente. He has continuously been running highs all the time. His doctor suggested that we try NPH instead of Lente before breakfast. If this works, will we notice a change in his blood sugars right away, or will it take a few days?
