Question from Lakewood, California, USA:

I will have to take Prednisone daily. How much Humalog should I use to cover these? I count carbs and would add the extra amount for my pre-breakfast shot.

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

There is no specific or correct amount to give to adjust for the prednisone. You need to take into account what you have used in the past. Each person has their own level of insulin resistance, and this has to be determined.
