Question from Aiken, South Carolina, USA:

I recently heard a diabetes specialist speak about ability to replace Amylin in people with diabetes. When this receives FDA approval (the speaker mentioned 2004) will it be available for children? How will it be administered?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

It’s unknown when Amylin will be available. Before using any medication in children it needs to be tested to be sure that it works the same as in adults, and there are no unexpected side effects.
