Question from New York, New York, USA:

If I want to spice up my morning cereal with either some banana or raisins, which would have the least effect on my blood sugar level?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

All fruit contains carbohydrate, something that must be limited with regards to blood sugar control. But, either one-half a banana or a miniature box of raisins (one-half ounce box) contains the same amount of carbohydrate: 15 grams. Either can be worked into your meal plan.
