Question from Homeland, California, USA:

Is there a digital diabetes monitor without need of drawing blood? If so, where can I buy and its price range?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

If you are asking whether or not there is a device that will sense blood glucose levels remotely, without penetrating the skin, the answer is no. There is nothing like a pulse oximeter for blood glucose. There are devices that use interstitial fluid, both on the market (the GlucoWatch) and in development. However, these devices must either penetrate the skin with extremely small needles or exert an electrical current to draw out the fluid for measurement.
