Is there any correlation between type 1 diabetes and epilepsy?

As far as I know, no correlation exists between type�1 diabetes and epilepsy.

[Editor’s comment: A person with type 1 diabetes can have seizures from hypoglycemia. This possibility needs to be ruled out in making a diagnosis.
