Question from Arizona, USA:
My 10 year old daughter has a terrible odor about her. Even after bathing and brushing her teeth, her body and breath remain strong. Her urine seems stronger than normal. She has a thyroglossal duct cyst with an opening at the base of her neck. Could the cyst be the cause of this odor?

A thyroglossal duct cyst can have an odor if the opening in her neck is still present. I would suggest talking to your pediatrician about having the thyroglossal duct cyst surgically removed if there is a foul odor.
