Question from :

My 13 year old son was diagnosed five years ago with Type 1 diabetes. His genitals have not developed for a teenager of this age. Could his diabetes be causing this?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

Probably not, unless he is very badly controlled. He’s still well within normal limits as far as age is concerned but he needs to be checked out for growth generally and your clinic should be doing this regularly. Discuss with your son’s diabetes team.
