Question from Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA:

My boyfriend, who is currently incarcerated, is showing signs of diabetes. We are unsure, but he cannot get the proper medical attention due to his circumstances. He is having a hard time dealing with the symptoms and controlling them. He gets very lightheaded, has pain in his feet, constant urination, tires easily, and blurred vision at times. Do you think he has diabetes?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

He should ask for a medical check up and fasting blood sugar to see if he has diabetes. There are many things that can cause these symptoms. The blood test will determine whether or not it is diabetes.
