Question from Waco, Texas, USA:

My brother-in-law has diabetes. He has heard of a shot available only in Canada for the treatment of diabetes. Can you give us more information?

Answer:

I’m not sure what you’re referring to. I presume your question could be about some insulin product that’s available only in Canada, but I am not aware of any in recent years. In the past, Novo Nordisk had their human Ultralente available in Canada, but it was never released in the USA.

One further thought, you could be referring to islet cell transplants carried out in Canada, where scientists recently reported on successful series of transplants in patients with type1 diabetes.
