My daughter has been complaining of pounding headaches, usually in the evening and at night, sometimes accompanied by nausea. She’s been going through a lot of lows.

Lows and pounding headaches are likes the peas in the pod. Headaches are a classic symptom of lows. Check her blood sugar when she has a headache; if she is low, it may be appropriate to back off the offending insulin. If that doesn’t fix it, then she needs to be seen by a doctor.
