Question from New Jersey, USA:

My eight year old daughter has had diabetes for four years, and I am looking for information regarding the sugar content of common oral medications that may be prescribed for a child with a normal childhood infection. What is the sugar content of Amoxil suspension?

There’s not enough sugar to matter during an infection. You can call the manufacturer who can answer specific questions, or your pharmacist may also be able to look up the actual sugar content and source.
