My four year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of two. We check her blood glucose levels four or five times a day. I am worried about the long term damage that this can cause. Could you tell me more about this?

As far as I am aware, there is no evidence that repeated finger pricks result in long term damage to the fingers.
