Question from Virginia, USA:

My son drinks a lot of juice (from frozen concentrate) and a friend recently was told that children who drink a lot of juice have an increased chance of becoming diabetic. Is this true? And if so, how much is too much?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

There is not an increased risk of diabetes in children that drink juice. However, drinking a lot, especially when present with frequent urination, and weight loss, are symptoms of childhood diabetes.
