Surfing the Internet, I have not come across the insulin that we are been prescribed here. The two types of insulin provided by the National Hospitals are Actrapid (short acting) and Insulatard (long acting). Are we behind as a country? Are we behind in developments?

There are lots of different types of insulins. The two that you mention are just two of many and are, in fact, amongst the most common being used around the world.
