Question from Guilford, Connecticut, USA:

What cream do you recommend for healing the skin at the pump site?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

What does the site look like when you take it off? If the site were showing any sign of infection, including significant redness, warmth or colored discharge, you might have an infection that needs to be looked at by your healthcare team. If the site were consistently red or itchy when you take it out, it could just be irritated from wear. Changing every 48 hours eliminates most infusion set issues. If the site were occasionally slightly red or itchy, it would best to let it heal on its own.
