Question from :

What tests are done to diagnose diabetic peripheral neuropathy?
What type of tests are given to evaluate the extent of diabetic neuropathy?
Do I have to have testing done on a scheduled basis?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

There is no definitive test for diabetic neuropathy. The diagnosis is made on clinical grounds with the physical exam and nerve conduction studies. I would first start with a visit to your physician and talk to them about neuropathy, your symptoms, and receive an exam.
