My journey has been wild. At the time we were living in Cairo, Egypt. I got really sick when I was 18 months old and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. I eventually got into a keto coma because I was so high and almost lost my life. There was one doctor that came, Dr Aziz. And she put me on an insulin drip and I got better. She saved my life. From then I struggled with sugar management because I was so young with such a hard disease. Ups and lows and fights with my parents. My mom did her best to try to keep my sugars leveled but as I got older it was just harder and harder. Once I was about 20. I decided it was time to control it. I took many steps to work on my management and continued to work it. I am now 33 years old, married, carried a very successful and healthy baby with a very easy pregnancy and I can’t believe it everyday. Thank you for listening to my story 🥰
