When I was diagnosed in young adulthood it turned my world upside down. I didn’t want to leave after my hospital stay knowing I’d have to care for this disease alone. My first grocery trip after diagnosis had me questioning whether I could even eat spices. Fast forward 10+ years I have now managed to care for myself in the best way I can so far with no complications, even managing through a pregnancy! It’s been hard, but I’ve learned a lot along the way and found that I’m not alone fighting this disease. Here’s to many more years!
