Although challenging, I find ways to live with diabetes daily. I have been a nurse for 15 years, four of which I was a diabetes educator and have now achieved my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia. My dream career would not have been achievable without the advancements in diabetes management. I hope to continue to make an impact on my patients also living with diabetes by providing education and a focused perioperative anesthetic plan.
