I was diagnosed as a Type 1 at age 14. It was a huge learning curve for myself and my family but we’re thankful to have had so much support. To be recognized for all the effort I’ve put into learning how to manage Type 1 on a daily basis and adapting to all the struggles that come with it means so much to me, and I hope I can continue to be inspired by others with similar stories and overcome any obstacles I may have in the future.
