CaraLynn
From her mom, Denisse:
CaraLynn was two years old going thru an illness we couldn’t figure out why she was so lethargic. Her doctor suggested it was just a growth spurt and the heat for the thirst and lethargy. My husband took her to the ER and there a nurse that was just walking past her asked if she’d been tested for type 1 diabetes. Getting that message from my husband to get to the ER because they need to medivac her to the nearest children’s hospital was like having a horse kick me in the chest. I rushed to be with her and called my best friends on the way. They were and have been very supportive.
CaraLynn is the youngest of six siblings. She was surrounded by support and love with her diagnosis and always had been. She has been so strong and determined to live her life without limitations. She’s started high school this year with a smile on her face and dedication to her health. She’s a happy, sweet, funny, hard working, determined young lady, a wonderful aunt and friend, and loves all animals and baking 😍
She’s my hero everyday.
