Hailey’s diagnosis devastated us in the beginning. She was only three and we were sent home from the hospital with medication, syringes, and instructions on how to keep her alive. We were terrified but for her it was simply a new “normal.” Over the last 10 years we have watched her discover a core of pure strength and determination from within herself. At 13, she now self-manages her type 1 and has dreams of college and career. The idea of type 1 holding her back isn’t even a blip on her radar. We are so incredibly proud of the person she’s becoming and are happy to celebrate her success of these lady 10 years!
