From Jennifer’s daughter, Linnea:
My mom has been managing her diabetes for over 50 years; diagnosed as a teen in the late 1960s, she has been diligent in caring for herself and dealing with frustrations and the ups and downs of managing the disease. They have been so many technological advancements in the management of diabetes over the past 50 years. She had her first electronic glucometer in the 1980s to the pump and CGM today. She is doing remarkably well for being diagnosed with the disease when treatment was still very primitive I commend her for her persistent attitude, and always trying to improve her management of the disease.
