I was born with MCADD, a fatty oxidation disorder that causes severe hypoglycemia. I was told I’d never be diabetic but at 13 I was diagnosed as a virus had attacked my pancreas. I haven’t quite made the 25 year mark but next birthday I’ll have made the 20 year mark. It’s been a balance but I’ve driven on.
