Madysen

From her mom, Tiffany:

Mady was diagnosed in 2015, two weeks after her sixth Birthday. She went into DKA and a coma and was placed on a ventilator. A year after her T1 diagnosis, on her seventh Birthday, she was diagnosed with Intractable (drug resistant) Focal Epilepsy. Over the last 10 years she has shown everyone around her what true resilience and tenacity looks like. Now at almost 16 years old, she is capable of independently managing her diabetes, is active in sports and has recently discovered a love for scuba diving. She is incredibly funny, caring, determined, brave, adventurous and smart. Mady is constantly defying the odds stacked against her and she never takes a single day for granted.
