I was diagnosed at age eight in the spring of 1967. I am now 65 years old and during all these years have never allowed diabetes to stop me from doing anything I wanted. Diabetes is a difficult disease to live with as every day is different. I have learned to go with the flow and if having a bad day know that tomorrow will be totally different. The advancement of many new diabetic technologies have allowed me to live an almost normal life. For my 50th anniversary with diabetes I, along with my husband, sister, and her husband, travelled to Hawaii. Attached is a picture of myself and my husband while there.
