I found out I was diabetic at age eight. Huge family history dad is also a childhood diabetic, his parents and my mom and her parents and my great grandmother all had it. I was in 3rd grade when i suddenly no longer felt the same as the other kids. I have just gotten a pump which has been a frickin gem in keeping myself accountable vs. the pens. I have my diabetic tattoo and even a cupcake under it as I try to find humor in this wild journey.
