My son Owen was diagnosed with T1D at the age of two on April 14, 2014. He has lived with this disease each and every day with a smile on his face. He has faced this disease with a constant sense of bravery, persistence and hope. He truly is a model for all of us to live our lives by. While my hope is that one day he never has to live with this disease, he shows us all that, no matter what, he will succeed and thrive regardless of T1D. I’m proud to be his mom and the world is a better place because of him.
