Since being diagnosed with T1 diabetes, Ryan has overcome many obstacles and most recently was diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy requiring eye injections and laser therapy. He still works full time and keeps a positive attitude despite all the curveballs diabetes gives him. He’s recently started playing in a disc golf league where he does pretty well and has recently become a sponsored player with the National Disc Golf Players Association. He’s a great dad and both daughters are well versed in diabetes and always willing to get daddy a juice when they hear his sensor beeping. I’m so proud of how he’s handled this journey so far.
