As a young boy, and being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes was not good news. Especially when you parents did the best they could to keep you healthy. It was not like today, where thankfully there is more assistance, tools, and parents are more involved and are in the know with medications, etc. It is a miracle that I survey my late teens and my early twenties. Type 1 did not stop me from all the bad habits but God had a better plan. Today, now with seven grandchildren and blessed that the disease has not touch my kids or any in the family. I am grateful for living a more disciplined life due to necessity, not by choice. I give all my thanks to my wife for helping through the journey and my Lord Jesus Christ, without them to walk this disease, it would have not been possible.
